L. S. Achrekar & Sons

L. S. Achrekar & Sons is based in the Nazir Building, Plot No-7, on the first floor. We are right on Calicut Street in the Fort Market area. It’s an old building, the kind with character and narrow stairs that you have to be careful on. Being in Fort Market means we are in one of the older parts of the city, and you can feel that history when you walk around. Our office is a bit of a traditional setup. Since it’s a family business, there are a lot of old records and files that have been around for years. We aren't into modern minimalism; the space is full of desks, chairs, and cupboards that have seen better days but still do the job. Calicut Street is always busy with people and vehicles, and the noise of the market filters up to our windows. We handle our daily business from here, mostly paperwork and meeting with people who have known the family for a long time. There’s no big corporate culture here. We talk to each other plainly and handle things as they come. Sometimes the power goes out or the plumbing in the old building acts up, but we just deal with it. It’s a comfortable place for us because we’ve been here so long. We like the local vibe and the fact that we can get a good lunch just a few steps away.
