L N Garment Process

You can find us at Shop No 2 in the Azmi Compound, right off Kherani Road in Sakinaka. It’s a busy area, and being near the Durga Mandir means there is always a lot of activity and people walking by. Our workshop is where all the garment processing happens. It’s often humid and smells like steam and fabric, which is just the way it is when you’re treating clothes all day. We’ve got a tight space here, but we’ve organized it so we can fit all the equipment and the piles of garments we have to work through. The noise from Kherani Road is constant, but once you’re inside the compound, it feels a bit more tucked away. We start early in the morning to beat the worst of the heat, though it never really stays cool for long. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know exactly how to handle the different materials that come through the door. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy website; most of our work comes from people in the trade who know where we are. It’s honest, physical work that keeps us on our feet for most of the shift. When the temple has a festival, the whole street gets blocked up, which makes deliveries a bit of a nightmare, but we just work around it like everyone else in Sakinaka does.
