L Johns Refrigeration Co. is located over at Wadala, specifically at Plot No-676/6/H in Fredun Terrace. You’ll find us on Katrak Road. It’s a bit of a crowded area but that’s just how Mumbai is, especially around here. We handle all sorts of refrigeration stuff, mostly fixing things or getting parts ready for people who need their cooling systems to actually work. The shop is a bit cramped because we have so many spare parts and old units lying around, but we know where everything is. Katrak Road can get pretty jammed up in the evenings, so we usually try to get our deliveries out early in the morning before the traffic gets really bad. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The building, Fredun Terrace, has seen a lot of changes over the years but we’re still here. It’s a local business through and through. We aren’t a big corporation with fancy desks. Most of the time our hands are dirty from working on compressors or cleaning out coils. If you stop by, you’ll probably see us out front or busy in the back. It’s just how it goes every day. We don’t have a big sales team or anything. It’s just us doing the work and making sure things stay cold for people. Some days are busier than others, especially when it gets hot out and everyone’s fridge starts acting up at once. It’s just a normal life.
