We are located at Door No-A-3 in Laxmi Towers, which is right in the middle of the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Bandra (East). If you know BKC, you know how it is. Traffic is always a nightmare and everyone is in a rush. Our office is just one of many in this big building. We spend most of our time dealing with numbers and looking at long documents. It’s a lot of sitting in chairs and drinking tea while trying to figure things out. The view from the window is just more buildings and people walking fast. We don’t try to make it sound more exciting than it is. It’s finance, so it’s serious work, but we are just regular people doing it. Sometimes we stay late because there’s just too much to get through before the weekend. The air conditioning is always a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks even in the summer. We’ve got a routine here that involves a lot of phone calls and emails. Laxmi Towers is a decent place to work out of, even if the elevators take forever during the lunch hour. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything. We just come in, do the work that’s on the desk, and try to get home before the worst of the evening traffic hits the highway. It is a lot of paperwork but it keeps the lights on.
