The Garment Manufacturing Company

The Garment Manufacturing Company is based in Kurla West. We are over at 13 Manisha Plaza on Sonapur Lane. If you’ve ever been through Kurla, you know how hectic it can get. Sonapur Lane is no different, always something happening or some truck blocking the way. We’ve been in this plaza for a while now. It’s a solid building and we have our setup inside where we make the clothes. It’s not a showroom or anything like that. It’s just where the manufacturing happens. We have the machines and the fabric and the people who know how to put it all together. Some days are louder than others depending on the load we have. Being in Mumbai, space is always tight but we make it work in our unit. We aren’t really interested in the corporate side of things. We just want to get the garments finished and sent out to whoever needs them. Most of us have been working here a long time. Manisha Plaza is a well-known spot in the neighborhood. We just keep to ourselves and do the work. It’s a simple way of running things but it has worked for us. Kurla West is a good place for this kind of business because everything is close by. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Just us and the machines.
