B. B. Garments

Our shop is Shop No. D-46 on S. G. Barve Marg. If you know where the Sai Baba Temple is in Nehru Nagar, then you can find us easily because we are right opposite to it. The temple gets very busy on certain days, so there’s always a lot of music and people walking around outside our door. Inside the shop, it’s mostly just stacks of garments and boxes piled up on the floor. We don’t have a lot of room for a big showroom, so we just use the space we have to keep everything organized the best we can. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop, but we have a couple of old fans that keep the air moving a bit. We spend most of our time sorting through the new arrivals and checking that everything is okay with the stitching. Sometimes the delivery guys leave the boxes in a mess and we have to spend hours just straightening things out so we can walk. We have a small stool in the corner where we sit when things get quiet, which isn't very often. Most of the people around here are regulars who just drop by to see what we have and say hello. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the evening. It’s a simple way to run a business. (251 words)
