K.Raheja Corp.

K.Raheja Corp. is located at 9Th Phalashruti, which is right opposite Lilavati Hospital in Bandra Reclamation. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy Bandra West can get, especially right there by the hospital. The traffic is constant, and there’s a certain energy to the air in the Reclamation area. Our office is up on the ninth floor, so we get a bit of a view, though mostly we are looking at our computer screens or stacks of documents. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. It’s a place where we handle a lot of the corporate side of the business, but it still feels like a workspace rather than a palace. There’s always the sound of sirens from the hospital across the street, which becomes background noise after a few days. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that; we just have what we need to get the job done. The lobby is a bit dated, and the elevators take a while, but it’s our home. We spend a lot of time on the phone or in small meetings, trying to coordinate various projects across the city. It’s a typical Mumbai office life—fast, a bit loud, and very focused on the day’s work. Sometimes we walk down to the seafront for a bit of air when things get too hectic in the afternoon.
