We’ve been here at Ashwin Apts for a good while now. It’s funny how people sometimes get lost looking for B Wing on MP Rd., but once they find us, they usually stick around. The office isn't anything fancy, just a room filled with cables, old monitors, and some tools we’ve had since the start. Some days it’s quiet, just the hum of a couple of hard drives spinning, and other days it’s a bit of a mess with parts everywhere. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re busy fixing stuff, that doesn’t always happen. Being at number 44—it feels more like a workshop than a corporate place. My desk is right by the window, so I see the traffic down on the road when I need a break from looking at screens. We usually have the radio on or just talk about what we’re going to eat for lunch. There’s a guy who brings us tea around three o'clock, which is the highlight of most afternoons. It’s just how we operate. We don’t have a big reception or people in suits. It’s mostly just us trying to get through the pile of work on the bench and making sure things actually turn on when they’re supposed to. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes in the hallway, but we make do. It’s a lot of manual work and we don’t really mind the daily clutter.
