Kini General Stores

Kini General Stores is right on the Pune Mumbai Highway, near Chinchwat Station and opposite Kirti College. It's a spot where a lot of people pass by every day. We carry all the usual stuff you’d expect from a local general store. From snacks and household items to things students from the college might need in a hurry. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes it takes a second to find exactly what you’re looking for. I’ve been behind this counter for a long time, watching the traffic go by on the highway. We open early in the morning and don't close until late evening. It’s a bit of a grind, but it’s what we do. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We don't have fancy displays or those bright neon signs. It’s just a simple shop. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in for candy, and other times it’s commuters needing a bottle of water. We try to keep the staples in stock so nobody leaves empty-handed. It gets dusty being so close to the highway, so we’re always wiping things down. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like being part of the Chinchwat community. People stop by for a quick chat while they buy their groceries. It’s just how things are here, and we wouldn't change it for a fancier place downtown.
