Our office is actually located at number 52 inside the Hotel Taj building on Hamidia Road. It sounds a bit fancy because of the hotel name, but our actual space is quite small and functional. We’ve been operating Khajuraho Exports from here for quite a while. Hamidia Road is always buzzing with people and travelers, so there is never a dull moment outside our windows. Inside, we have our computers and some samples of the things we send out. It’s a lot of coordinating with people over the phone and via email. We don’t have a massive staff, just enough to keep the orders moving along. Most days are spent tracking shipments and dealing with suppliers. The lobby of the hotel is nice, but we stay mostly in our back room where we can actually get things done without being distracted. It’s a bit of a weird spot for an export business, but it works for us and people seem to find us easily enough. We don't put up many posters or decorations on the walls. It’s mostly just shelves and stacks of paper. We grab tea from the hotel staff or go out to the street stalls when we need a break from the screen. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way. No big corporate meetings or anything, just us figuring out the best way to get things from one place to another. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
