Our place is on the first floor of Kamal Mansion, over at No. 1/16 on Arthur Bunder Road. We are right near the Radio Club in Colaba, which is a really famous part of Mumbai. Being in an old building like this means the walls are thick and the windows are tall, but it can get a bit cramped with all the boxes and desks we have squeezed in. Kamalakshi Marketing has been here for a while. We spend our days on the phone or talking to people who drop by. The sea breeze comes in sometimes, but mostly it’s just the sound of the traffic and the tourists outside. We handle a lot of different products, so the inventory is always changing. One day the hallway is full of one thing, and the next day it’s something else. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, you just walk in and see us working. We get our tea from the vendor downstairs who knows exactly how much sugar we like. The stairs are a bit steep, so we get our exercise every day just coming to work. It’s a busy atmosphere, typical for South Mumbai. We don't worry too much about the aesthetics of the office as long as the work is getting done and the orders are moving. It’s a practical way to run a business in this part of the city.
