K. R. Fashions

Our shop is located at number 1 on R. S. Marg, right across from the Tipco company in Malad East. We spend a lot of our time looking at fabrics and sorting through the latest batches of clothes that come in. It gets pretty crowded in here sometimes, especially when we’re unpacking new stock and trying to find space on the racks. The street outside is always noisy with traffic, but inside we just focus on helping whoever walks through the door find what they need. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing every day. It’s a lot of folding, hanging, and checking sizes. We don’t really do fancy window displays or anything like that; we just put the clothes out where people can see them. Sometimes customers come in looking for something specific, and other times they just want to browse for a bit. We try to keep things organized, though it’s a constant battle with all the different styles we carry. Working in fashion in Malad means you meet all sorts of people, and we enjoy the daily interactions. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We just keep the doors open and make sure there’s enough variety for everyone who stops by. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing budget, we just rely on the local folks knowing we're here.
