K. L. Stationer'S

K. L. Stationer'S is located at No. 8 on V.V Chandan Street, right off the main Masjid Bunder Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and narrow the streets are. Our shop is packed tight with every kind of paper, pen, and office supply you can think of. There isn't much room to walk around because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the shelves. Sometimes boxes are stacked right up to the ceiling. The air smells like fresh notebooks and ink. We spend our days climbing ladders to reach things and helping people find specific items for their offices or schools. Masjid Bunder Road is always buzzing with people and carts moving goods around, so it is never quiet here. We have an old wooden counter that has seen better days, and the floorboards creak a little when you walk on them. We don't have a computer system for everything; we still do a lot of things by hand in our ledger books. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. During the monsoon, we have to be really careful to keep the paper dry, which can be a real struggle in this old building. It’s a busy life here in the heart of the market, but we like being right in the middle of all the action on Chandan Street. We just open the shutters every morning and see what the day brings.
