It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our office space set up for the export business. Things can get pretty hectic when we have shipments going out. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking schedules and making sure the documents are all in order for the customs people. It’s not always the most exciting work, but it has to be done carefully or everything gets stuck. We have been in this spot in Mumbai-400069 for a while now. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many files and ledgers from over the years, but we know where everything is. Most days start with a lot of emails from different time zones, which can be a bit of a headache first thing in the morning. We don’t have a big marketing team or a polished website; we just rely on the folks we’ve worked with for years. If a customer calls, they usually speak to one of the same three people every time. It’s a local operation, really. We just happen to send stuff across borders. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep the shipments moving on time. It's a simple life at the office, focused on the logistics of getting goods from one place to another.
