Our workplace is located at 157 Veena Dalvai Industrial Estate. We are right on S V Road in Jogeshwari West. Being in an industrial estate means the building is very solid and functional. It’s not a place where you go for window shopping. It’s where the actual manufacturing and organization happen. We have a lot of space here, which is good because we have plenty of machines and fabric rolls everywhere. The noise from S V Road is constant, but inside the estate, it’s mostly the sound of work being done. We usually get in early to beat the Mumbai traffic. Jogeshwari West is a busy part of town and getting here can be a bit of a struggle some days. Once we are inside the gates of Veena Dalvai, things get a bit more focused. Our team is small and we’ve worked together for a long time. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and see people working. There are piles of clothes waiting to be packed and shipped out. It gets a bit dusty sometimes because of all the fabric, but we try to keep it clean. We have our tea breaks together in the small corner by the window. It’s a real job in a real industrial area. We like the grit of it. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be part of the Jogeshwari community. We’ve been at this address for a long time now and don't plan on moving.
