You can find us at No. 5 Lilly Annex, tucked behind the Mina International Hotel on SV Road in Jogeshwari West. It is a busy part of the city, and the traffic on SV Road never really seems to stop. Because we are in the annex, we are slightly shielded from the direct noise of the main road, but you can still hear the constant honking. The building is an older one, and our unit is simple and functional. We have a few big mirrors on the walls and some racks that we built ourselves. The light isn't the best in the back of the shop, so we have to keep the overhead tubes on all day long. It gets quite humid in the monsoon, so we are always checking the walls for dampness. We know the staff at the hotel pretty well since we see them every day when we arrive. Our day usually involves a lot of measuring, cutting, and talking to the local tailors who work with us. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media person. Most of our work comes from people walking by or hearing about us from their neighbors. It is just a small, local operation trying to keep things moving in a busy part of Mumbai. We take pride in just showing up and doing the work. Usually we close up around eight.
