You have to go up to the second floor of Prem Sons Industries Estate to find us. We are at No. 205, right in the Tahira Compound. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to these industrial buildings. We are directly opposite the Jain Mandir on Station Road, so that's usually how we tell people to find the place. The sounds of the bells from the temple sometimes drift up here during the morning prayers. Inside, the space is filled with cutting tables and sewing machines. We do a lot of garment work, mostly focused on shirts and trousers for different labels. It gets pretty cramped when we have a big shipment of fabric coming in. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs more often than not. We started Kalyanlakshmi Apparels Pvt. Ltd. with just a handful of machines and it’s grown a bit since then, but it still feels like a small family operation. The light in the workspace isn't the best, so we’ve got extra lamps over every station. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see someone busy with a measuring tape or a steam iron. It’s hard work and the deadlines are always tight, but we’ve managed to stay in business at this Station Road spot for quite a while now.
