Jethmalani Fancy Cloth Centre is located in the Mulji Jetha Market in Kalbadevi. We are in Building 262 and our shop numbers are 3 and 4. This market is one of the busiest places you will ever see. It is always crowded with people buying and selling all kinds of things. Our shop is packed with rolls of fancy cloth. There is fabric everywhere you look, from the floor to the ceiling. We spend our days helping customers find the right material. It is a lot of physical work because the rolls can be quite heavy. We have a tall wooden ladder that we use to reach the top shelves. The shop is small and it gets very hot in the summer. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of fans that don't do much. We have been in this market for many years and we know most of the other shopkeepers. It is like a big family here. We drink tea from the local stall several times a day. We don't use any fancy technology for our sales. We mostly just use a calculator and a notebook. It is faster that way when the shop is full of people. The noise from the street never stops. You hear people shouting and carts rattling on the stones all day long. It is a hectic place to work but we are used to the noise and the crowds by now.
