Javed Stores

Javed Stores is located over in Narayan Nagar, Ghatkopar West, though the address gets a bit mixed up with Goregaon West sometimes on the old papers. We are right opposite the Union Bank. It is a busy street, so there is always someone coming in for something. We sell all kinds of daily things that people in the neighborhood need. The shelves are packed pretty tight from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. You have to watch your step because sometimes there are boxes sitting in the middle of the aisle waiting to be unpacked. Being right across from the bank means we see a lot of people coming and going all day. Sometimes we just stand at the door and watch the traffic. Ghatkopar is a crowded place, but we like the energy of it. Our shop isn't anything special to look at, just a regular store with a metal shutter and a counter. We have been here for quite a while, so we know most of the faces that walk in. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running constantly. Usually, it is just us and a helper or two making sure things are in stock. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. People just know we are here. When the bank closes for the day, things usually quiet down a bit around our shop too.
