Janata Lime Depot

We’ve been at Merchant Manzil on Masjid Nagar Road for a long time now. If you know the area at all, we are right across from Khadak Masjid. It is a very busy spot with people always moving around. We mostly deal with lime and related stuff for construction or whatever else people need it for. It’s a basic shop, nothing fancy to look at from the street. The building is quite old, and we’ve seen the whole neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We open up early most days, usually before the sun is fully up, because that’s when the workers come by to pick up what they need for the day's job. It gets very dusty in here, and the bags are heavy to move around, but that is just the nature of the work we do. We try to keep enough stock in the back so people don’t have to go elsewhere and waste time. Sometimes the traffic on the road out front makes deliveries a real headache for us, but we managed to figure out the best times for trucks to come. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. They know exactly where to find us and how we operate. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Just word of mouth is usually enough. If you are walking down Masjid Nagar Road, you will probably see the white dust on the ground near the entrance. It is just me and a couple of others helping out.
