Jai Shree Store

Jai Shree Store is located in Tulshet Pada over in Bhandup West. We are right on Canara Bank Road, not too far from the Municipal School. This means we see a lot of parents and kids walking by every morning and afternoon when the bell rings. The store is a small, local spot where we keep a variety of goods on the shelves. It’s the kind of place where things are stacked high and you might have to move a box to get to what you want. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on for the news or some cricket matches. The floor is tiled but has some cracks from years of use and heavy loads. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. It gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and stops in to pick up a few items for dinner. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who come in for their daily needs. It is a very community-focused area and we feel like we are right in the middle of it. The street outside can get quite dusty with all the rickshaws going past. We just keep the front tidy and wait for the next customer to walk in. It is a fairly simple life running a shop like this, but it keeps us connected.
