If you ever find yourself in Kurla West, come down Masrani Lane towards Sun Rise Estate. We are in Shop Number 21, right by Halav Pool. J Traders is a small operation in a very busy part of Mumbai. If you know Kurla, you know the lanes are narrow and there is always a crowd. Our shop is just one of many in the estate, and we spend our time managing whatever goods are coming in that week. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside sometimes, with boxes piled up to the ceiling. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy furniture, just some old fans and sturdy shelves. The area around Halav Pool is always humming with noise—horns honking, people shouting, and the sound of the city. We’ve been here long enough that the noise just becomes background music after a while. Most of our work is done on the phone or over the counter. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get through our orders and make sure the paperwork is mostly correct. When the monsoon hits, we have to be careful with the stock because the lanes can get quite flooded. It’s just part of life in Kurla. We’re just a bunch of regular people working in a busy estate, trying to keep things moving and get our deliveries out on time.
