India Fashions Limited

We spend most of our days here at A-2/369 in the Shah & Nahar Industrial Estate. Lower Parel is always loud and moving, and our unit is right in the middle of it. India Fashions Limited has been in this spot for a while now. Some mornings the tea stall downstairs is the only thing keeping us going before the machines start up. We handle a lot of fabric and different orders every week. It gets a bit crowded with all the rolls of cloth sitting near the door, but we manage to find space to work. The building itself is old, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out during monsoon season. Most of the staff has been coming here for years, so we all know the shortcuts through the estate. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where we get the work done. Usually, the lights stay on late if there’s a big shipment going out. Sometimes the elevator in Shah & Nahar is slow, so we just take the stairs to get things moving. It’s a practical setup for what we do. We try to keep things organized, even when it feels like there’s too much to do in one day. You can hear the hum of the fans and the noise from the street coming through the windows all day long. It's just how things are at our Lower Parel office. There is always a lot of dust from the street but we just wipe it down.
