Idt Clothing Private Limited is based in the A To Z Industrial Estate at unit 216. We’re right on Ganpatrao Kadam Marg in Lower Parel, which is a place that never seems to sleep. The building is one of those old Mumbai industrial structures with high ceilings and a lot of history. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time, seeing the area change from old mills to big shiny towers. Inside our unit, though, things stay pretty much the same. We have our rows of workstations and the big cutting tables that have seen better days but still work just fine. We’re a small team, mostly people who have been in the garment trade for decades. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the fabric, follow the patterns, and make sure the finished product looks like it’s supposed to. Lower Parel can be a bit overwhelming with all the traffic on Ganpatrao Kadam Marg, but once you step inside the estate, it’s its own little world. We have tea together in the afternoons and talk about the news while we work. It’s not a high-pressure office; it’s a place where we put in our hours and take pride in not messing up the orders. We like being part of the old-school industry that’s still hanging on in the heart of the city.
