Ideal Thermo-Plast P Ltd. is over in Andheri. It's a crowded part of the city to run a business, but we've been here for a while. The space is tight, like most places in Andheri. We do a lot of work with plastics and heat. It gets very hot in the workshop. We have to manage the space carefully because there isn't much of it. We have machines squeezed in and boxes stacked up to the ceiling. Finding anything requires knowing exactly where you put it three days ago. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us making decisions on the fly. The traffic in Andheri makes deliveries a bit of a nightmare sometimes, so we spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating trucks. We don't have a lobby for visitors. If someone comes by, they just stand near the entrance and we talk over the noise of the machines. It’s a busy, hectic way to work, but it keeps us on our toes. We don't use fancy brochures to get business. People know us because we've been in the same spot for years. We do what we can to keep the machines running and the orders moving out. It's not a glamorous job, but it pays the bills and keeps the staff employed. We just take it one day at a time.
