If you ever find yourself walking through M. J. Market, you might have seen our sign for Hma Interlinings Pvt. Ltd. We are up on the first floor at 40 Champa Galli. It’s a tight squeeze in these old market buildings, but we’ve made it work for a long time. Our main thing is interlinings for garments, which isn’t something people think about until they’re making a shirt or a suit. We deal with lots of rolls of material and different weights of fabric all day long. The market downstairs is always loud with people shouting and carts moving back and forth, but it’s quieter up here on the first floor. It’s mostly us and the stock. We don't have a big fancy showroom because our customers already know what they are looking for when they climb the stairs. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the stuff coming in and making sure it gets sent out to the tailors and factories on time. It can get pretty hectic during the peak seasons when everyone wants their orders at once. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. It’s steady work and we like being right in the middle of the textile district where everything happens.
