Our place is on Road No-16 at Plot No-101 in the MIDC area of Marol, Andheri East. Hilden Packaging Machines Pvt Ltd is right in the middle of one of the busiest industrial zones in Mumbai. If you’ve ever tried to drive through Marol during the day, you know it takes some time with all the trucks and office commuters. Our workshop is where we put together various packaging machines. It’s a lot of metal, wires, and testing runs. We have a small group of technicians and engineers who spend most of their time on the shop floor. It’s often noisy with the sound of drills and the hum of the machines we are testing. The office is tucked into a corner of the building where we keep the blueprints and the computer files. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls or a big lobby. Most people who visit us are here to look at a machine or talk about a specific part they need. We’ve been in this spot for years and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace of Andheri. We eat our lunch at the small stalls nearby or have it in the break room. It’s a hard-working environment where we just focus on getting the machines right. There’s no big secret to how we work; we just show up and put the pieces together until they work like they should.
