Hesh Herbal Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away in Singh Industrial Estate-1 over in Goregaon West. If you have ever been on Ram Mandir Road, you know how busy it gets with the trucks and the local traffic. Our unit is C-14. It is a solid space with high ceilings and that typical industrial smell of concrete and old machinery. We spend a lot of our day dodging the pallets and making sure the loading area is clear for the vans. The noise from the street is always there, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a small office section partitioned off with some glass, but mostly it is just one big open floor for the stock. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when carrying things up or down. We have been in this estate for a long while now. The tea stall right outside the main gate makes the best ginger tea, which is where you will find most of us during the 11 o’clock break. It is not a place for wearing shiny shoes because of the dust from the road. We keep our heads down and stay busy with the herbal side of things. There is always a list of things to do and not enough hours in the day, but we make it work. Goregaon is a tough place to navigate, but this industrial estate feels like a little community of its own.
