Hemu Exports

Hemu Exports is situated on the first floor of the Master Building, which is right there at 34/38 Chana Street in Bora Bazar. This part of the city is incredibly crowded, and the streets are so narrow that you can barely walk through sometimes. Our building is one of those older ones with steep stairs that make you huff and puff a bit by the time you reach the top. Inside, it is just a bunch of us working at our desks, surrounded by samples and stacks of paper. The walls are a little yellowed and the fans creak as they spin, but it is a good place to work. Being in Bora Bazar means we are right in the thick of things, with traders and merchants shouting just outside our window. We spend our days coordinating shipments and talking to suppliers. It is mostly about keeping track of the little details so nothing gets lost in transit. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or talk about the latest news. We don't have any polished showroom or anything like that. People who come to see us usually have to navigate through the carts and stalls on the street first. It is a very old-school way of doing business, but it works for us and we have been here long enough that we don't really want to be anywhere else.
