Harish International

Our office is located at 318, C. H. Street in the Marine Lines area. It is one of those old buildings in Mumbai that has a lot of character but also a lot of dust. We are right in the middle of a very crowded neighborhood where the streets are narrow and full of people. Harish International handles trade and shipping, so we spend most of our time dealing with documents and customs forms. The salt air from the sea nearby often makes the metal window frames a bit rusty. We have been in this same spot for a good number of years. It is not a very large space, just enough for our desks and the cupboards where we keep the old files. You can hear the noise from the street all day long, mostly horns honking and people shouting. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small plate with our name on it near the entrance. Most of our business comes from people we have known for decades. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market prices while we wait for news on shipments. It is a simple setup and we like it that way. We don't have fancy carpets or modern art on the walls. It is just a working office where we try to get things done without making too much of a fuss about it.
