Hari Om Films

Down on Yari Road at Bazar Street B 3, things are always moving fast. Hari Om Films isn't a massive studio, but we have enough room for our editing setups and some storage for the cameras. The street outside is part of a busy market, so there is always a lot of shouting and the sound of bells. It can be hard to hear yourself think sometimes, but it gives the place a lot of energy. We spend a lot of hours sitting in front of screens, trying to get the cuts just right. The walls are covered with posters from old projects and some notes scribbled on pieces of paper taped to the monitors. We drink a lot of coffee here because the nights tend to get very long when a deadline is coming up. The carpet is a bit worn out from people walking back and forth, and the air conditioner makes a weird humming sound, but we don't mind. People come in and out all day—actors, editors, and guys just looking for work. It is a bit of a squeeze when everyone is here at once. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just the name on the door. It is a place where we just focus on the footage we have and try to make something out of it. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that is just how the film business goes on Bazar Street. We just keep working until the job is done.
