You can find us at 14 Rehmat Manzil, right in Pushpa Park over in Malad East. It’s on Daftary Road, which is always moving. We deal with all sorts of cinema equipment here. It’s a bit of a cramped space because there are cameras and lights and cables everywhere you look. Mumbai is a big place for movies, so there is always someone looking for a specific lens or a sturdy tripod. We aren’t some giant warehouse, just a local shop where we know our gear. Sometimes the place looks a bit messy, but we know where everything is. My brother and I usually handle the rentals and the repairs. We’ve been around for a few years now. People from the local film sets stop by when they need something last minute. We don’t do fancy brochures. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us since we opened. The building itself, Rehmat Manzil, is an old one but it stays cool in the summer. We spend a lot of time cleaning the gear and making sure it still works right after a long shoot. It’s hard work, but we like being around the movie business. If you’re looking for us, just look for the sign near the park. We’re usually here until late because that’s when the shoots wrap up.
