We are located at Plot No.B-29 in the Vindeshwari Nehru Nagar society, which is right on the famous 90 Feet Road in Dharavi. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how incredibly busy it stays. The 90 Feet Road is always packed with traffic, from small rickshaws to heavy trucks, and there is a constant energy in the air that never really stops. Our cooperative society has its base here, and we have been a part of this community for a very long time. The building itself is part of a mix of homes and small shops, which is very common for the Dharavi area. We work in a fairly small space, but we make the most of what we have. There is a lot of manual work and coordination that goes on within these walls every day. We focus on industrial production in a way that involves the local people from the neighborhood. It is a cooperative, so things are done a bit differently here compared to the big private firms in the city. We all know each other by name, and there is a real sense of shared effort in everything we do. The heat and the noise from the road are just things we live with. We don't have air conditioning or fancy furniture; we just have our workbenches and the tools we need to get the job finished. It is a tough environment but it is our home.
