At Gunjan Exports, our daily routine usually starts with checking the schedule at B-35/44 in Pravasi Indl Estate. Being on Arey Road in Goregaon East means we deal with a lot of traffic, especially when the monsoon hits and the roads get messy. Our unit is part of a large estate, so there are always trucks coming and going, and it gets quite loud with all the loading and unloading. We have a small office section, but most of the space is taken up by the goods we are preparing to send out. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the crates and plastic wrapping. We spend a lot of time double-checking addresses and labels because mistakes are a pain to fix once things leave the gate. The ceiling is high, which is nice, but it gets very hot in the afternoons even with the big industrial fans spinning. We have an old clock on the wall that runs five minutes fast, but nobody bothers to fix it because it keeps us on our toes. The staff mostly brings their own tiffins and we sit near the back entrance where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s a straightforward operation here. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because the work is what matters, and the floor is always covered in bits of packing tape and cardboard scraps anyway.
