Tyrant Fashions

We are down here at 144 Tata Nagar in Govandi West, right across from the Kapileshwar Mandir. If you know where the fish and veg market is, you have probably walked past us a dozen times already. Tyrant Fashions is basically a local spot where we handle all sorts of clothes. It’s not some fancy boutique with bright lights and velvet curtains, just a regular shop where we try to keep the racks full. My cousin and I run the place most days, and it gets pretty hectic when the market next door is in full swing. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and making sure things look decent enough on the hangers. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot in, but that is part of the charm I guess. People come in after doing their grocery shopping or visiting the temple. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. It’s mostly just folks from the neighborhood stopping by to see what is new. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. The noise from the street is constant, but you get used to it after a week. We like being right in the middle of everything. It’s a practical business, nothing too complicated. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who walks in. It’s a simple life running a clothing shop in this part of town.
