Manne-king

We operate out of the Kohinoor Industrial Estate in Goregaon East. Specifically, we have our spaces in unit number 7 and room 201. Being right off the Western Express Highway means it's always very loud with trucks and cars zooming by at all hours. It’s a real industrial vibe here, not at all like a fancy shopping district or a mall. We move back and forth between the ground floor and the second floor all day long. The estate is full of other small businesses, so there’s always someone loading or unloading a van nearby in the parking area. At Manne-king, we handle a lot of heavy lifting and shifting. Mannequins take up a lot of room and they can be quite awkward to move around the narrow hallways and doors of the estate. The dust from the highway often comes in through the windows, so we are constantly wiping things down to keep them clean. It’s a very practical workspace with plain concrete floors and high ceilings. We don't have a reception desk or a fancy lounge for guests; it’s just a place where the actual work happens. Sometimes the lift in the building is busy or broken, so we end up carrying things up the stairs ourselves. We spend our time checking the stock and making sure everything is ready for the morning transport trucks to pick up and deliver to the different stores.
