Dream Knits Impex Pvt. Ltd.

Our office is B-205 in the Virwani Industrial Estate, which sits right along the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East. Being so close to the highway means there's a constant low roar of traffic in the background, but you stop noticing it after a while. Dream Knits Impex Pvt. Ltd. has been here in the estate for quite a few years. The building is a typical industrial block, sturdy and made for heavy use. We have our unit on the second floor. Inside, it’s all about the knitting and the textiles. We have rows of machines and a big area for inspection. It’s not the most glamorous place to work, but it’s efficient. The elevators are large because they have to carry all the heavy rolls of fabric. During the monsoon, the highway gets pretty backed up, so we often stay a bit later to avoid the worst of the commute. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon slump. Most of the people working in the other units are friendly, and there’s a sense of being in it together. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the quality is what it should be. It’s a busy, dusty, and loud environment, but it’s where we feel most productive. We just get on with it every day without much fuss. The floors are worn but clean enough for our daily routine.
