We’ve been over here at 3, Jai Ambe Rajesh Compound for a good while now. Dahisar East is a busy spot, especially around the compound where things are always moving. It’s just how it is when you’re doing export work. Most days it’s about checking the paperwork and making sure the boxes get loaded right. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside, but we don't mind it. It keeps us awake. We handle all the shipping stuff from this small office. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time turning into the compound because the lane is narrow, but we manage. It’s mostly just us keeping track of where everything is going. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything. Just desks, computers, and a lot of caffeine. Being Gopal Exporter means we spend a lot of time on the phone or emailing people across the ocean. The rain gets heavy here during July, and sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We know the neighbors well. Everyone around Jai Ambe Rajesh Compound is basically doing the same thing, trying to get work done and get home on time. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do. We’ve learned which tea stall has the decent snacks and which courier is actually on time. We just focus on the containers and the schedules. That’s really all there is to it for us here.
