Goodluck Trading Co.

Goodluck Trading Co. is right here on Janjika Street, inside the Nimakwala Building. If you know the area, you know it stays pretty busy all day long with people moving back and forth. We are up on the third floor in Room 12. Climbing those stairs every morning definitely wakes you up, especially when it is hot outside and the air in the hallway is a bit thick. It’s a simple setup we have. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some desks, some ledgers, and the usual stuff you need to keep a trading business going. People come and go, and the phone rings more than you’d think. Janjika Street is one of those places where you can hear everything happening outside—the honking, the shouting of the vendors, and the general hum of the city. Being at 152/154 gives us a good view of the street from the small windows. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of the building. Sometimes the lights flicker, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. We just focus on the trading and getting through the day’s list of things to do. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life. We keep our paperwork organized in those old metal cabinets and try to stay on top of the orders that come through. It gets a bit dusty in here with the window open, but you need the breeze.
