Golden Door

People usually find us easily enough here in Nava Bazar because of the big sign out front. We have been at this spot in Vadodara for a good while now, mostly just dealing with doors and frames. It is a bit of a dusty business, honestly. The shop is full of wood pieces and metal parts that we move around every day to make space for whoever walks in from the Bandra West side. Most mornings start with us sweeping the floor and checking what stock came in the day before. It gets busy on the street outside, so sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic when nobody is inside asking about hinges or handles. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights or anything like that. It is just a workspace where we keep the inventory stacked up against the walls. If you come by, you might see us eating lunch on one of the worktables because that is just how it is. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here pretty well by now. Sometimes the rain gets in a little bit if we do not close the front right, but we manage. It is a simple setup we have got going. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer needs without looking through twenty different piles of wood for an hour. It is steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close the shutters.
