Our main spot is right by Gate No. 4 off the Eastern Express Highway in Vikhroli East. If you’ve ever driven down that way, you’ve probably seen the Pirojshanagar area. It’s a massive place. At Godrej Tyson Foods Ltd, we spend our days dealing with a lot of moving parts. There’s a lot of focus on the cold chain and making sure the chicken and other food items stay at the right temperature. It’s a noisy environment most of the time. You have trucks coming in from the highway at all hours, and the sound of the machinery never really stops. We have a lot of people working here, from the folks on the line to the guys managing the loading docks. It’s a big operation, but it still feels like a local job for many of us who live nearby in Vikhroli. We don’t have much time for sitting around. The floor is always busy and everyone has their task. Sometimes the logistics of the highway traffic makes things difficult, especially during rush hour when everything slows down to a crawl. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the crates moved. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit hectic.
