We’ve been here at Shop No 4 in Roop Mahal for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right on 5th Road in Khar West, just a quick walk from Squeez Disco. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. We mostly spend our days stocking up the shelves and chatting with the regulars who come in for their snacks. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough room for all the different varieties of nuts and dried fruits we keep. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when a few people come in at once, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We try to keep things simple. You won't find anything fancy here, just what people need. Usually, it’s a lot of sorting through bags and making sure everything looks okay on the counter. The location near Tulsi Falia makes it easy for people to find us if they know the area. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s nice knowing the neighbors and seeing the kids grow up. Sometimes it’s quiet in the afternoons, so we just sit by the door and watch the traffic go by on 5th Road. It’s a lot of work keeping up with what people want, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We don’t do much advertising; people just walk in. We keep the shop open until late so workers can stop by.
