Gm Fashions

Gm Fashions is located right in Dharavi, specifically at Shop No. 5/a/1 in Habib Nagar, Kutti Wadi. If you know this area, you know it never really sleeps. There is always a lot of noise from the street and people shouting to each other. Our shop is just one of many in this crowded part of town. We spend most of our time sitting at the benches working on different pieces of clothing. The space is small, so we have to be careful where we put things. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much in the afternoon, but we have a fan that helps a little. We have been here at this address for a long time. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to think about that right now. Most of the people around here know us by now. We see the same faces walking past every morning. We get the fabric in, we cut it, and we sew it. It is nothing flashy. Just a regular day of work in Kutti Wadi. We keep the scrap fabric in big bundles near the door. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is just how a working shop looks. We do not have a big sign or anything, just the shop number. We focus on getting the sewing done and making sure the counts are right before the day ends. It is just life.
