Our place is at 15/17, Oval Wadi, right off Kalbadevi Road. If you have ever been to Kalbadevi, you know it is one of the busiest and most crowded parts of Mumbai. There are people and carts everywhere, and the noise never really stops. We have been in this building for many years. It is an old structure with narrow hallways and a lot of history. We do international trade work, which means we spend a lot of our time dealing with customs forms and shipping schedules. The office is quite small and every bit of space is filled with files or equipment. We have a small table where we sit to have our tea and talk about the day's work. Most of our time is spent on the phone trying to track down shipments or talking to agents. You get used to the sound of the horns and the shouting from the street below. We don't do any promotional stuff; we just rely on the relationships we have built over the years. It is a lot of hard work and keeping track of many small details. Sometimes the building gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have our fans going. It is a simple, no-nonsense kind of operation. We just focus on getting our tasks done and making sure things arrive on time for the people we work with.
