Glass Technics

The office is on the second floor of Padam 1, right on Pedder Road. It’s 9-B if you’re looking for the door. Honestly, the traffic outside is something else, you can hear the horns all day long even from up here. We work with a lot of glass, so the space is always filled with crates and big sheets leaning against the walls. It makes moving around a bit tight sometimes, especially when we get a big shipment in. We’ve got a small team and we mostly just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure nothing chips. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up using the stairs more than we’d like. It’s an old building, but it’s got character. We keep the windows shut to block out the noise from the street, but you still feel the buzz of the city. Usually, we're juggling three or four different things at once. We take our lunch breaks in the small back room where it's a bit quieter. It isn't a showroom with lights and mirrors everywhere, just a practical place where we get the cutting and the planning done. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know where every tool is kept. By the time five o'clock rolls around, we’re usually ready to head out and beat the worst of the evening rush before it gets too late.
