Glares N Spects

Glares N Spects is tucked away in Kanu Bhavan, specifically at 12/13. We are right there in Chewools Wadi, which can be a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here. It’s a small place, but we have managed to fit a lot into it over the years. We spend our time looking at frames and helping people find what they need for their eyes. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights and mirrors everywhere, just a regular shop where we do our work. Some days we are busy fixing hinges or cleaning lenses, and other days we just wait for the afternoon rush. Being in 22/24 Chewools Wadi means we know a lot of the neighbors. It’s a tight-knit spot. We don’t really spend money on big signs or anything. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby. The drawers are full of different styles, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. We keep a small mirror on the counter for people to see themselves, and it’s seen a lot of faces over the years. The floor is a bit worn in the spots where people stand the most. Sometimes the light coming through the window isn't great, so we have to use extra lamps to see the tiny screws. We drink a lot of tea and talk to anyone who wanders in. It's a simple way to make a living.
