Girijak Garments is located in Gala No-61 of the Municipal Industrial Estate in Worli. If you’ve ever been to Gandhi Nagar, you know the vibe of these industrial blocks. It’s all concrete, heavy doors, and the constant sound of machines running. We’ve been here on D.S. Road for quite some time. The space is a bit old, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s a solid place to work. We handle all kinds of garment production here. It’s not a clean, quiet office—there’s thread on the floor and stacks of fabric everywhere you look. We like being in Worli because it’s central, even if the traffic near the estate gets stuck every afternoon. Our team is mostly people who have been in the trade for years. We don’t do things the fancy way; we do them the way that works. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here. If something needs moving, whoever is closest picks it up. We just get on with the job of making clothes and getting them out the door. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but it’s our workplace and we’re happy with what we manage to get done in this little gala. We don't have time for marketing talk. We just focus on the orders we have to finish. It is what it is, just a hardworking garment unit in the middle of Worli. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going.
