Giri Plast

Giri Plast is situated at 123 in the Damji Shamji Industrial Complex, just off Mahakali Caves Road. Being right opposite Nelco in Andheri East means we are in one of the busiest parts of the city. If you’ve ever tried to drive around here during rush hour, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Our space in the complex is where all the plastic work happens. It’s a functional place, meant for work rather than looking good. We have our machines set up and there’s usually a bit of a mess on the floor from the production process, but we clean it up at the end of every shift. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially with the machines running, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. We are just a small team of people who have been doing this for a long time. There’s no corporate talk here; we just speak plainly about what needs to be done. We take our lunch breaks together when we can, usually just bringing stuff from home. The industrial complex has a lot of energy, with people always moving crates and trucks backing in and out. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s what we do. We don’t have any big slogans or fancy promises. We just make the plastic items, check the quality ourselves, and send them out. It’s a basic, honest living in the heart of Andheri.
