Gala Provision Stores

We are located at Shop Number 14 on Manchubhai Road in Malad East. If you are coming from the Malad subway, we are just right there. That subway is always a mess with the traffic and the water during the rains, so we see a lot of people passing through. The shop is a basic provision store. We have the usual things like grains, soaps, and snacks. It’s a small space, so things are stacked all the way to the ceiling. You have to know where everything is or it takes forever to find a small packet of spice. Manchubhai Road is quite narrow, so when a big truck comes to drop off supplies, everything stops for a bit. We know the neighbors well since they’ve been coming here for years for their daily milk or bread. It gets very busy in the evenings when everyone is heading home from the station. We just try to serve people fast so they don’t have to wait in the heat. It’s a bit noisy with the horns and the people shouting, but that’s just Malad for you. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just shelves and counters and a lot of work. Every morning starts with cleaning the front and checking the stock. It’s a simple life running a store here near the subway. We just do our best to keep the shelves full every single day for the people who live here.
