Our office is on the 3rd floor of Shanti Plaza, which is tucked away in Gali No. 301. Most people know this area as Garage Gully because of all the mechanic shops and spare parts stores nearby. It’s located on Bhavani Shankar Cross Road in Dadar West. Being in Dadar means it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of energy around. To get to us, you have to walk past a lot of grease and car engines in the gully and then head up to the third floor. The building doesn't have a fancy elevator, so it’s a bit of a climb. Once you get inside our unit, it’s a different world from the noisy street outside. It’s still quite basic, with some metal cupboards and a few large tables where we sort through the apparel. We have a couple of fans going all day to keep the air moving because it can get stuffy up there. The view from the window is just other building rooftops and the busy street below. We don’t spend much on decorations; we just have the things we need to get the job done. It’s a practical workspace for us. We handle all the orders and the packing right here. Sometimes the courier guys have a hard time finding the right gali, so we often have to go down to meet them. It’s a hardworking part of Dadar and we fit right in with the other small businesses here on the third floor.
